It just kind of happened, I only really focussed on the things I enjoyed at school; science and drama. I just continued doing what I enjoyed and found myself here, the more science I learnt the more interested I became. I still find it strange to say that I am a scientist.

As I went through school I realised that I found science interesting and exciting and I was just curious to know more. I didn’t go into it thinking ‘I want to study science because I want to be a scientist’ – thinking about jobs and careers came much later. I just went where my curiosity led me, and I have to say it was good fun, and still is. 🙂

I was better at science than anything else at school which led me to a physics degree, but it was only then that i was truly pulled in by science, especially computational physics (using computers to understand physics), and decided that it was what i wanted to do.
