About 150,000,000km give or take a few kilometres. It changes depending on the time of year though, because the orbit of the Earth around the Sun is not a perfect circle but instead an ellipse – a squashed circle, kind of Egg shaped.

So sometimes we are closer than this sometimes further away. The 150,000,000km is just an average distance, at closest we are about 147,000,000km from the Sun and at furthest about 152,000,000km.

it’s one Astronomical Unit away 😉
or approximately 8 light minutes – the light of the sun takes 8 minutes to get here.
