Drama and design & Technology were my most favourite subjects before GCSE but I did enjoy science. Chemistry was the most fun and I loved using Bunsen burners as I had a small obsession with fire. But in year 9 I was lucky enough to have a really good Physics teacher, who also used fire to teach physics, and my allegiances swapped.

I have always been interested in figuring out how things work and why they do what they do, this just came out naturally as an interest in science as I followed what I enjoyed.

I don’t think I really knew what science was all about when I was in yr8. But I did enjoy it because I liked learning about how stuff works and about things like the solar system. As I went through school I started to enjoy it more and more, and although I was interested in lots of different things, physics caught my imagination more than anything else.

In year 8 I really enjoyed science, I remember having an Excellent Teacher, and the lessons being really general but with lots of cool things like bridge building and electronics, as well as doing chemistry experiments, and I think some biology. So for me it was great with lots of experiments and practical work, which is what I really enjoy to do when learning.

I used to love it, and also loved IT and Design and Tech. Hated languages the most as I found them really hard.
