• Question: What does Hawking radiation do and has it actually been observed, or is it still just a theory?

      I think it is still a theory at this point, as its quite difficult to measure directly, but if it disagreed with anything we have found so far it would have been disproved, so I suspect there is something too it.

      Basically it is the process where matter can manage to get out of a black hole, and hence its called black hole evaporation.
