I really liked living in Brighton, because I like being by the sea, and it’s very friendly there (I lived there when I was a PhD student).

Got to be Reading ( it will get to be a city some day! ) I have lived here for 13 years in about 7 or 8 different places.

London, all the way. After two years here I have fallen in love with London – so much of the world is on your doorstep and you can do so many different things.

Sheffield would follow up second as I spent a fun 3 1/2 years there studying for my PhD. I do miss the North, but get to go back every once in a while.

#1 would be Liverpool, it’s my home city and I love going back there.
I also love Edinburgh, great buildings, great pubs, it looks fantastic even when the weather is dreadful (which is fortunate, as that happens quite often). And a mountain pretty much in the city centre.
