      hi nerd101,

For me it means an experiment which is taking place at Diamond, and things that come to mind are all about managing the data which is collected by the experiment, processing it, keeping it safe and ultimately getting it to the user in a form that they can use.

There’s a cartoon that sums it up – but i can’t find it. i’ll have to describe it.

So there’s a guy who presses a button and gets an electric shock. The second picture is titled “normal person” – the guy says, “better not touch that again”. The third picture is titled “physicist” – the guy says, “hmm, better try that again to establish repeatability”.
