I grew up with parents from Newcastle, but living in Sunderland. So the only sensible thing to do was to stay neutral!!! I’m still neutral now.

Don’t really watch football, but I always support England when there playing.

There is always too much heartache in supporting a football club so I stay neutral, I appreciate a good game though.

I’m afraid I’m also not really an avid follower…if I had to choose one it would be Liverpool (not quite my ‘home’ team, that would be Tranmere Rovers). When Liverpool won the FA cup in 2006 the open top parade passed right near my house at the time. It was crazy, just a sea of red and people were climbing up traffic lights and road signs to get a better view. Good fun.

My family have a long history with Liverpool – going back to at least the 1930’s. But I leave football to my Dad mostly.
I’m pretty rubbish at team sports, but I like mountain running.
