• Question: Why do cats always land on their feet?

      Because no one has put buttered toast on their back.

      They are just agile I guess, evolved to be that way.

      hi benjb018,

      Bens right, there must have been a time, or possibly there still is, a good reason that not landing on your feet was really bad. I suspect its just cause they are good climbers, and if they fall from any hight they need to absorb the impact

      Just look at this video about how well they absorb the impact to see that feet down is defiantly the way to go 🙂

      Because they can!

      What I mean is, if I was flexible and strong enough to make sure that whenever I fell I landed on my feet, then I would.

      I guess that they’re flexible and strong because that’s a real advantage for an animal that has to hunt other animals to survive.
