      We would have to be pretty unlucky if it did. Best thing to do though is just assume it wont and carry on as normal. Not much useful preparation you can do for the end of the world anyhow.

      No evidence that it is likely to. I can guarantee that the end of the world shown in the 2012 movie will definitely not happen – neutrinos boiling the core of the Earth… not going to happen.

      William Hill offered odds of 1,000,000 to 1 on the world ending when the LHC first collided protons. I think that was quite mean of them.
