• Question: Wouldn't you rather be doing experiments than talking at confrences ?

      Hi jaspreet24,
      Conferences are a good way to meet other scientists and find out what everyone else in your field of research is doing. Also they are often in nice places! When I was in research I did enjoy going to conferences. Doing a talk to a big audience of experts can be a bit nerve-wracking though, especially when the questions start! Nowadays I work in funding and policy so my job’s a bit different to the other scientists in the subatomic zone,. This would be a good question to ask them too!
